Our program is based on concentrating on what we like in a horse:
Conformation - Horses that have good feet, short cannons, straight
legs, solid well-muscled bodies with deep heart girths, big hips and well-
balanced heads.
Ability - Horses that can go to the arena or work on the ranch with lots
of athleticism and natural cow.
Disposition - Horses that are bred to have willing, kind attitudes so that
rider can get along with them and are a pleasure to ride on the trail or at
home.

We believe that the broodmares are the heart of our program and strive to keep a consistent band of mares. We have
looked to the past and sought out mares that carry the lines of the two great mares Dixie Beach and Lady Coolidge.
Our mares come primarily from the respected horse program of Don Stearns. We are also proud to have own daughters
of Mr. Gunsmoke, Jody Fairfax and Laughing Bar Boy as some of our elite mares.
Our stallions represent both modern and foundation bloodlines. Our senior sire, Jacks Firery Roan, continues to
stamp his foals with looks, ability, disposition and color."Snack" is by Zan Parr Jack, sire of 9 AQHA World
Champions, 3 High Point AQHA all-around winners and earners of over 15,000 performance points. We are proud
to introduce Just Plain Smoken by Just Plain Colonel "Charlie" is out of our daughter of Mr. Gunsmoke. Just Plain
Colonel stands at the Ward Ranch of California, his colts have won more than a million dollars in reined cowhorse
competition.Charlie is currently in training for reined cow horses events and looks forward to competition in the
2002 South Dakota Reined Cowhorse Breeders Futurity and other events. His first colts arrived this spring and we
are more than pleased. We think you will be too!
