Weanlings sold through the RQHBA sale were eligible to show in the Don Brunner Memorial yearling halter futurity, held the morning of the 2021 RQHBA Sale, and are also eligible to show as a 2 and 3 year olds in the ranch horse futurity, also held the day of sale. All weanlings sold in 2021 at the RQHBA Sale will be eligible to compete in 2022 and in their 2 and 3 year old years.
The 2021 Yearling Futurity Winners are:
Yearling Mare Class:
1st Place - French Shine, owned by Larry or Donita Denke, bred by Long Quarter Horses,
Yearling Stallion Class:
1st Place – Rodeos Hard To Beat, owned by Tom Knott, bred by Bender Ranch Quarter Horses
2nd Place – C Booger Harlan, owned by Becky Amio, bred by H M Quarter Horses
3rd Place – Boons Gunna Smoke Ya, owned by Ray Marchant, bred by Mailloux Quarter Horses
Yearling Gelding Class:
1st Place – WS Buzzy Oak Drift, owned by Patrck and Amanda Fiador, bred by Gumbo Quarter Horses
2nd Place – Steel Blue Gambler, owned by Besler Cattle Company, bred by HM Quarter Horses
3rd Place - WS Coorer Zan, owned by Les McGill, bred by Gumbo Quarter Horses
Each class winner was the recipient of a check for $600. Second place paid $300 and third place paid $100.

1st – Harlans Samba, owned by Ashley Secrest, bred by HM Quarter Horses
2nd – Harlans Lucky Seven, owned by Becky Amio, bred by HM Quarter Horses
The 2021 RQHBA Futurities paid out $4500. to Futurity winners.
